When politicians start reading the writing on the wall

It happens eventually to all regimes that operate as totalitarians. It happens when they push the public in directions that they do not want to be pushed, and when the politicians fail to listen. It happens when the public feel swamped by the boot of overwhelming regulation and have little else to lose. It happens when graft and political greed is no longer controllable.

And it certainly happens when the politicians realise that they no longer have the monopoly on violence, and more importantly, they no longer have the monopoly over events.

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has been given a £300,000 armoured Jaguar… Clegg now travels everywhere in a bullet- and bomb-proof Jaguar XJ with two police officers – a driver and a guard – plus two back-up officers.

“It’s not just him, either. All the senior Lib Dems in the Cabinet have had their security reviewed and increased because of the level of public loathing.”

When he became Prime Minister David Cameron got rid of police outriders for his official car to cut costs, but his security has been stepped up again.

This is not one of the usual massively hollow PR security excuses, to protect against ‘terrorists’. No, this is the government’s response to a genuine fear, a fear of its own population.

How nice it is to finally see the government afraid of its own people, and please be very afraid because the final straw never weighs heavy, but it its just enough to finally break the public patience.

No-one can predict what that straw will be or when it will be laid on top of the pile, it will probably be a minor issue, something totally inconsequential and it will take them totally by surprise. The breaking point has been reached.

I expect 2011 to hold quite a few Ceauşescu moments for our politicians, that moment in time expressed by a look of sheer terror on their faces as it dawns on them and they realise they have taken that one small step too far.

This is our country and its not for sale. You politicians will not get away with destroying it, you will not get away with selling it out to the EU and you will not get away with Treason.

Its your call.

Sock it to them Ian. I left lovely messages on John Redwoods diary about the student protests. Once the politicians wake up and smell the coffee there will be hell to pay.

Good let them smell the fear as its comming to them, every last one of the seditional bastards gibb’et and noose springs to mind.

  5. What we need, Ian, is for people to back their words with deeds. If there are no consequences the politicians will become bolder within their security cordon.

Coming to a screen near you in Summer 2011

    IMHO.

Nicely put Ian – just about sums up the present state of affairs.

@Autonomous Mind: I have the germ of an idea………….

    Leave the EU.
Start growing our own food ahain.
    Build Nuclear power stations.
    Repeal the nanny state.
    Stop irresponsible mass immigration.
    Start manufacturing again.
Scrap costly and unneccesary green lies ,oops policies ,er no lies actually.
    Now that would be popular.
Na, their too out of touch for that.
Their are parallels begining to become evident with 1989 Romania.
    So Romania it is then.

  9. Henry North,
The Coffee is beginning to bubble, they will all smell it soon.

    Eddie G
Is it coffee or is it fear. Its brown stuff either way and their nostrils are smarting already.

I am afraid you are looking for that elusive leader again… this is not about leadership of certain individuals, it is about events, events that will cause a spontaneous action by a few, who will then be supported by the many. the spark that will light a fire under them. It will not be a planned event, it will be when someone finally snaps and the rest of the country empathise and stand up in support.

    Bill,
When it does kick off, as many as possible should film it, Youtube it, spread it, show it in the pubs, the clubs, the colleges, gyms and other meeting places. Make it so it cannot be ignored.

    WfW,
A Germ of an idea… plant it, let it grow…

    CW,
A good start, but there is so much more that needs to go… 45,000 pieces of legislation brought in by Labour for a start, kill off the 3500 new criminal offences they created to go with that. Again, we were promised a great repeal act… no sign of it.

Give people back their dignity and personal responsibility over their lives, thats a good start.

I do hope you are right about it happening in 2011. I have been waiting sooo long! Will I be among the few that start it off? I doubt it, but I will certainly be there to back them up pitchfork at the ready.

It’s a nice feeling to know that our traitorous government are starting to fear the wrath of the people. It’s been a long time coming! I don’t know how they can sleep at night, knowing they have committed crimes which not so long ago would have had them shot at dawn,- TREASON and COWARDICE (refusing to engage in combat with the enemy when threatened with invasion or takeover by a foreign power). Add to that the charges of deception, fraud, theft, abuse of position and numerous other offences, and you might as well lock them up and throw the keys away. I suggest everyone should send each of our MPs and MEPs an ‘Award of a white feather’, (I mean a symbolic white feather, I’m not suggesting we all go down to the local park and start mutilating the swans, as this carries a £2000 fine and a prison sentence!) a declaration of their cowardice in refusing to defend and secure the country of Great Britain, and act within the best interests of the British people.
The revolution may be coming to a neighbourhood near you soon, but we must not be complacent! The government will not be a pushover, remember they have the full backing of the EU super state behind them, and the EU has the full backing of the UN and world banking cartels to support them. When this gets going, expect to see high tech. weapons and foreign troops on the streets of Britain. I can’t see us getting out of the EU before it completely destroys Britain, it will just take too long. We’ll just have to destroy the EU from within. This is not really just about the EU, The EU is just a part of something much bigger, World Governance, and they will not contemplate failure!
