Greece is considering leaving the eurozone

Report dated 6th May.

Greece is considering leaving the eurozone, according to SPEIGEL ONLINE International, part of Germany’s Der Spiegel.

“Athens is considering withdrawing from the euro zone. The common currency area’s finance ministers and representatives of the European Commission are holding a secret crisis meeting in Luxembourg on Friday night,” the report stated. (source)

I am crossing my fingers hoping this report is true.

I think they’re just threatening Brussels for a better deal to be honest. Shame though, if one leaves, no doubt others would probably do the same.

Sue, could be that you are right, however the rumours from last year still persist about the mass printing of DeutcheMarks, so I think Germany is well prepared for such an eventuality.

  2. It’s just another bit of ‘realpolitik’, or whatever it’s called. I’ve lost interest until the revolution starts.
