Google Wireless Transcoder

Now we all know about the governmental ‘horror’ at Google StreetView and their transgression in obtaining ‘by mistake’ wireless router information.

Has anyone else had an entry on their blog or router stats like this?

Who’s watching who?

UPDATE:

Its late and its been a long weekend, so maybe I should have googled it first…was barking up the wrong tree here…

This is what Google has to say on the Google Mobile Help forum.

Google Wireless Transcoder
Google has recently created a new service called GWT (Google Wireless Transcoder), which is not yet officially announced and still in “beta” stage, but it works well and it is extremely useful to navigate the numerous websites that are not optimized for Mobile use.

To try it, point your device to:

http://google.com/gwt/n

and enter the URL that you want to transcode.

With all the privacy worries and stuff flying about, perhaps Google could have chosen a more apt name for this new service.
