At 11.30 a.m. on 18 June, President José Manuel Durao Barroso will deliver a speech at the Badia Fiesolana near Florence, entitled “European Union and Multilateral Global Governance”.
This is the Inaugural Lecture of the new Global Governance Programme at the European University Institute.
I await with interest what this unelected Maoist Barroso has to say next week about why our tax money is being spent training our youth in the dark art of Global Governance.
This is what the European University Institute has to say about this course.
A specific programme of formation and training of European intellectual and policy elites on global governance issues is absent at the European level. The Global Governance Programme (GGP) is meant to contribute to the understanding and knowledge of global issues; to contribute to academic and policy debates on global governance; to train new generations of scholars, public officials, and practitioners; and to encourage interaction between academics, policy makers, journalists and activists. In a nutshell: to increase the European critical mass on global governance and to reinforce the European imprint on the debates taking place at the global level.
The Programme pays particular attention to the EU’s position and role in Global Governance as a natural extension of its regional integration and in particular to the European experience in designing effective multilateral rules and institutions. It will also discuss the GG efficiency and legitimacy of the EU external representation as based on the Nice (/Lisbon) constitutional framework.
The GGP focuses the existing resources available at the EUI/RSCAS and aims at enlarging the faculty to reinforce the global character of the EUI and its role in shaping the debates on those issues.
The Programme encompasses some of the already established areas of research at the RSCAS, such as financial stability, energy, migration, and development assistance, and will progressively extend to other global issues such as trade, human security, global regulation, health, international security. The GGP also foresees the establishment of a European Academy of Global Governance devoted to top level training, discussion and debates and the setting up of a Monitoring Unit on Accountability and New Social Risks in the Context of Globalization.
The Programme is directed by Miguel Maduro| and begins its activity in 2009/2010 with the attribution of a number of post-doctoral fellowships to junior researchers in the field.
Not once does it mention freedoms, rights, democracy, public, electorate or citizens, for all these things will become inconsequential in a Global Government run by the unelected in the same manner that the EU is run, you only need read my previous post to be assured of that. This is being run by the unelected Euro elite for the elite.
It is reasonable that I ask that this is brought to the attention of a wider audience, because you understand that no-one has ever voted for this, no-one democratically elected has ever approved this, yet the Commission is spending your tax money on furthering its own aims of Global governance.
The public have never approved the EU, they do not want it, but Global Governance run by unelected Marxists and Maoists takes the democratic deficit to a whole new level.
note: when the EU speaks of governance, they actually mean government as highlighted by Adrian Michaels in his Telegraph article yesterday.
I am looking forward to another round of the European Commission’s “asymmetric translation” in any press release issued after the talks. This was the brilliant phrase coined by Herman van Rompuy, EU president, to describe how it was that a certain document referred to economic “governance” only in its English version and economic “government” everywhere else, with the different levels of federal power such a change of words would imply.
I know that I have been writing about this for years, trying in vain to warn people to the dangers that lie ahead, I only hope that now presented with proof positive you will finally do something….
Put that to Cameron and Clegg for explanation.

It’s hard to know what to do to slay this evil. I have stopped paying tax to any government now in protest (except VAT which is unavoidable).
Other than to keep spreading the word, I feel powerless to help.
Sue, Be assured that the only way they can enforce this will be by force.
At present the EU and other Global bodies such as UN, UNHCO, WHO, WTO etc are ruling by economic force, but as populations begin to lose all they have, then it will turn eventually to physical force.
It is a shame that the majority, who have their taxes taken from them via the PAYE scheme do not have the same option to withhold taxes, but I agree that to starve the beast of its funds is probably the most effective means. At the moment.
The best we can do, is expose them, spread the ideas of true freedom and liberty, the ideas of equality of opportunity not the equality of results. historically anyone can point out that government always becomes corrupt and its pursue of power will be its demise. lets hope that this case will be no different. its time to shake people up from the long slumber of ignorance, and embrace love for the sake of a free humanity!

Ten Regions of Global Governance were called for by the Club of Rome. These are the Ten Horns held forth in bible prophecy.
Wikipedia relates that The Club Of Rome developed a plan to divide the world into ten regions: In 1972 The Club of Rome raised considerable public attention with its report Limits to Growth, which has sold 12 million copies in more than 30 translations, making it the best-selling environmental book in world history. Before Limits to Growth was published, Eduard Pestel and Mihajlo Mesarovic of Case Western Reserve University had begun work on a far more elaborate model (it distinguished ten world regions and involved 200,000 equations compared with 1000 in the Meadows model). The research had the full support of the Club and the final publication, Mankind at the Turning Point was accepted as the official Second Report to the Club of Rome in 1974. In addition to providing a more refined regional breakdown, Pestel and Mesarovic had succeeded in integrating social as well as technical data. The Second Report revised the predictions of the original Limits to Growth and gave a more optimistic prognosis for the future of the environment, noting that many of the factors were within human control and therefore that environmental and economic catastrophe were preventable or avoidable, hence the title.
“Ten Horns” Are Presented In Daniel 7:23-25 And Revelation 17:12 Could they be ten kings? If so, then the whole vision is of the last form of a Gentile world-power, a confederated ten-kingdom empire, most likely covering the whole Earth.
There was a time when a small group of Brits were to be found on foreign soil that believed enough was enough. For reasons of attempted power and control from abroad upon a people, for taxation, for not listening to people in its alleged form of representation, for taking force upon one’s liberties and property and for many other reasons a revolution came to pass.
Government is empowered the requirement of representation and by people who would not choose to change government when it no longer serves the people. Government takes complacency to mean compliance. Without educating a people, reminding them of certain rights, liberties and freedoms (both present and lost) people will walk slowly into the totalitarian state formed by government. What is forgotten is government remain just men and women with some willing to impose action through force as a means of control. This force must be repelled or the people will count such losses of liberty, freedom, rights and property in greater and greater numbers.
We must equally remember not to fall into the trap purported by governments of the past and present that the wrongs or force imposed by some should be corrected through equal force upon all in a knee-jerk reaction to symptoms. There can be found some, within government, that would move to address such wrongs but who’s voices remain muted. There are some that can be seen as allies in such a repelling of force. Let them hear not just our voices but our willingness to stand individually but together in opposition.
