BIG BROTHER police raids begin

In the first use
of the new BIG BROTHER powers given to police, raids were carried out on 2
entire streets in
Liverpool yesterday. Some 140 officers working with
14 different agencies have forcibly entered 30 addresses in the Gestapo style

Although police
had no firm evidence of any offences having been committed by individuals, using
the amalgamated powers of the 80 new laws passed since 9/11, Police officers in
full riot gear, accompanied by local council, housing officers, HMRC, Department
of Works and Pensions, trading standards, RSPCA, TV licensing, Scottish Power
and truancy officers, raided 30 homes looking for evidence, and then arrested people
to pin it on.

POLICE hid in a
removal truck to spring the surprise raid. The seven and a half ton truck
rolled into the neighbourhood unnoticed and up to the addresses where police
officers in protective clothing sprang out and entered properties.

The last time I
saw anything of this nature, was in a war film, and they all wore German

Wait until they
visit your home.  I wrote some time ago
about how these laws could be used.

The potential for abuse using these laws is immense, the police no longer have to clear up committed crime to reach their Home Office set targets, they can go and 'find' crimes by raiding your home, less and less will they be patrolling our streets to keep us safe, they will raid the homes of 'potential'  offenders before they get to the streets. And once in your home, they can and will look through your paperwork, documents, belongings and everything looking for something that may give them a result.

My finishing lines
then, are the same as today’s.

I can hear Mr Blair protesting now that
this is not what all these laws are for, but Mr Blair, please understand, THIS
IS HOW THEY WILL BE APPLIED, if not in a dictatorial regime, certainly one in
which it is very easy to hit all your targets when the laws are all on your

In a free society, the
rights and laws protect the individual from the government.

In a dictatorship, the
rights and laws protect the government from the people.
